The Oliveriano Archaeological Museum is one of the oldest in the Marche region. It was born in 1756 along with the homonymous library thanks to the donation by Annibale degli Abbati Olivieri. The donation grew further, with an additional bequest in 1787, both with other books and findings put together by Olivieri, and with the collections of Giovan Battista Passeri, another patron of the arts from Pesaro. The new set-up, in addition to collections of Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities, also exhibits excavated artifacts from the Piceno necropolis of Novilara found between 1891 and 1893, up to the recent 2013 findings.
